Read Punished by His Love By Suzie Chapter 99
Sabrina looked uncertain and speechless.
The vibrant, innocent smile that was full of life that she had been wearing for the past few days was lost. She had once again reverted to her cold, alienated expression.
That look, in Nigel’s eyes, was extremely pitiful.
Yet he enjoyed seeing this pitiful and determined look. It was more fun this way.
“I was wondering why you’ve been so happy, looking like a flower in bloom. It seems that
my cousin was treating you well. However, you got cocky too early. Daring to face his actual woman simply because he treated you well for two days?
“You really have some fat guts!
“I really couldn’t tell. You’ve always had that cold and bitter look, as if you didn’t care about anything, but I guess when you do something, you do it big?
“You had my cousin before you, and Marcus Shaw behind.
“Then you have me.
“Any one among the three of us would have been enough to cause ripples in South City.
“Your eyes really are sharp!”
Sabrina was speechless.
Nigel had always brought up uncomfortable topics in front of her, but he had also been the one who treated her the best between the three men he mentioned. In Sabrina’s eyes, Nigel was simply a spoiled boy who cared for nothing.
He had no filter on his mouth, but his schemes could not compare to Sebastian’s.
In the face of Nigel’s vicious mockery, Sabrina had nothing to say.
She was simply wondering how Sebastian would deal with her.
Watching as she remained silent, Nigel thought to himself that she was really impressive at holding back her temper. She seemed to be undaunted by anything. Just as he was about to mock her a little more, someone shouted, “Nigel, come see your aunt!”
“Ah, I’m coming!” Nigel ran over.
That would be Grace.
Grace had always had a dream that she would be recognized by the Ford family. She had never said it to Sebastian, knowing that he had only just seized control of the family. There were still mountains that her son would need to face, and Grace did not want to trouble him.
However, Sabrina had known all along of Aunt Grace’s wish to be recognized by the Ford family.
She had known since they were in prison.
Today, the Ford family, including all the relatives, had come to visit her. Grace would definitely be happy.
Sabrina thought to herself that if Aunt Grace was happy, and the Ford family continued visiting her, she may no longer need Sabrina to take care of her. If that was the case, she could leave immediately.
Trailing behind the Ford family, Sabrina sneaked next to the window of Grace’s ward. Kneeling on the floor, with the window between them, she quietly listened to the conversation happening in the ward.
Aunt Grace was sobbing.
What followed was Henry as he consoled her. “Daughter, don’t cry anymore, crying is bad for your body. As long as you take care of your body, we’ll make sure that the best medicine in the world gets to you…”
Grace’s crying intensified. “You… You’re willing to call me your daughter-in-law?”
“You’ve always been my daughter-in-law. Your son is the most exceptional successor of our family,” Henry said proudly.
“Oh… you’ve finally… recognized me.” Grace covered her face as she sobbed.
